Kathmandu Lhasa Kailash Pilgrimage Tour
This 18-day journey from Kathmandu to Lhasa and Mount Kailash is the pinnacle of pilgrimage journeys in the Himalayas and is sure to be the highlight of any visit to Nepal or Tibet. You will be taken on a journey of breathtaking splendor, from the dazzling city of Sunshine to the holy pilgrimage site of Mount Kailash in the Kathmandu Valley.
You will begin your journey in Kathmandu, the exotic capital of Nepal, where you will spend your first days touring the Hindu and Buddhist temples of Boudhanath, Swayambhunath, and Pashupatinath, as well as the royal Durban squares of Patan and Bhaktapur. Then you board the to arrive in Lhasa, where you may take in the sights of this breathtaking city. The ancient Jokhang Temple and the majestic Potala Palace are both worth a visit. The next step is to take a land journey from Shigatse to Everest Base Camp, after which you'll proceed north to Darchen and the holy Mount Kailash. Here you can undertake the most challenging hike in all of Tibet, the pilgrim's kora circuit.
It is important to note, If the Tour isn't confirmed quickly, KTM- Lhasa airfares may go up and the prices will be adjusted accordingly.
Also, note as of right now, the Chinese Embassy in Kathmandu needs at least 3 business days to issue a Tibet visa. On Saturdays and Sundays, the embassy is closed. If we submit your passport on Monday before noon, the visa will be issued on Wednesday between 10:30 a.m. and noon.
