YAMUNOTRI
As traditionally stipulated, the yatra begins with Yamunotri Dham. Yamunotri, as the name suggests, is the source of the sacred river Yamuna which originates from the Glacial Lake of Saptrishi Kund located at an altitude of 4,421 meters.
GANGOTRI
The most sacred river of India, which gives Identity to the very essence of Indian culture, traditions, and religion is worshipped in Gangotri as Mother Goddess. Originating from the Gomukh Glacier above the temple, The Ganges, is believed to give Moksha even to the Gods.
KEDARNATH
In the upper reaches of Mandakini valley, encircled by lofty peaks in the north east, is the holy temple of Kedarnath Ji, Dedicated to one of the trinity of Hindu Pantheon, Lord Shiva.
BADRINATH
Located on the banks of the Alaknanda River, is the temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Reestablished by Adi Shankaracharya in the 8th century as part of his mission to revive Hinduism in India. Located at an elevation of 3,100 meters, the small hamlet is protected by two mountains, Nar & Narayan on either side & has the Neelkanth Mountain as the crown of the temple.
